I don’t really know why I titled this part of the trip “Wichita Lineman”. Except when I think of Wichita, that song comes to mind. Glen Campbell. You know the one. I think I’m showing my age here. I think we actually have this album – ALBUM, not CD. Just to be crystal clear. We’re off for Missouri tonight. Have to cover a little ground before we get there. This was a day FULL of conference calls. A few stops along the way. Hey, someone in this family needs to earn some money! Get back to work, honey. I appreciate MM supporting me in the lifestyle to which I’ve become accustomed. Well, and MM appreciates ME supporting him in the lifestyle to which he has become accustomed, too. Bwwwahahahahahaha! OK, back to more serious stuff. Pit stop. MM had a GREAT idea as soon as we met up with G & P. We keep these things rockin’ and talkin’. It is really great to be able to make spur of the moment comments on things we see along the way and when we need to EAT and such. We’re going to get to the eating part of this trip soon, I promise. Well, now, we HAVE been eating, but I haven’t documented every morsel. That will be happening shortly. But before we do that, here’s a nice “splat” for you. Couldn’t resist. Luke is taking hard, as usual. Since he is an only child now, he (at the age of 5) is figuring out that he is not relegated to the floorboard all the time. About the same age as that Glen Campbell album up there. Not Jesse James the philandering-misfit-soon-to-be-ex-of-Sandra Bullock fame, but THE Jesse James. Check out some history and ghost story here. Whew! We finally made it to Eagleville, MO. It’s just a wide place in the road and a place we stayed last year on our way to Minneapolis. However, this time, we stayed at the Eagleville RV Resort. Yep. Resort. If you ever get through here you must stay with these nice folks. Just bought the place and are really fixing it up right!
