Recently we had our niece, Karissa, in town for about six weeks or so. It began with her winter break from school and stretched into a bit longer as she was hoping to wait out the arrival of Miss Abigail Lucy Suzanne, a.k.a. AbbieLucySuzie to me. Her persistence paid off and on the day her mom, Kari, and youngest brother, Jordan, came to get her . . . . . . Miss AbbieLucySuzie arrived! Just in case you have forgotten or missed it, here’s a quick refresher course on that event: I’ll work her in as often as the law allows. Now, back to Karissa. Love this girl and had so much fun spending time with her and getting to know her. She is a budding photographer and has a great creative eye. She is one of “those” people I talked about the other day who just have so much talent. She is amazing! This was a photography assignment for school – “Self Portrait”. It pretty much sums her up. Karissa is also a poet. She loves to write poetry. Another school assignment while she was here was to write a poem and be a “published poet”. When she asked if I would mind publishing her poem here, in my blog, I was honored. And I think her poem is the perfect blog post for our celebration of Easter today. Here’s her poem. Jesus died for you and me by Karissa Currie Jesus died for you and me on the cross at Calvary. Putting end to sin and pain giving us forgivenesses never ending rain. His love has set us free so in heaven we could forever be. On Easter as we play remember what our bibles say about how Jesus died for you and me on the cross at Calvary. Hoppy Easter! Egg-citedly Yours, Suz
